Don Greenfield – Lean Systems Director and Jared Bringhurst – Value Stream Manager will represent Futura Industries at the official MEP awards kick-off event with Lt. Governor Gary Herbert in Salt Lake City on February 23rd. Futura Industries was recognized due to the significant steps they have taken to implement lean business and manufacturing techniques throughout the plant. These changes in organization, behavior and physical layout have yielded significant improvements to manufacturing lead times and consistent on-time delivery of product to their customers. A combination of valuestream mapping, 5S, standardized work, autonomous maintenance, flow, SMED, and kaizen’s have contributed to their success.
