Drivers for Futura Industries Log Over Three Million Accident Free Miles

Futura Industries is proud to acknowledge an outstanding accomplishment of our three incredible truck drivers, Garth Apgood, Kevin Middlemiss and Mike Hohosh. Garth has been with Futura for 21 years. Driving an average of two thousand miles per run, he has logged nearly 1.9 million accident free miles. His hands on relationship with the customer is second to none. We continue to receive letters of praise and appreciation for his consistent timely deliveries and his professional demeanor. The latest letter reads:
“He takes great care in letting us know when weather or a variation in scheduling is going to cause a change in delivery time, so as to minimize any impact to our operations. His patience, humor and positive attitude are often a breath of fresh mental air on the afternoons that he makes his stop. He has often shared his vast knowledge and experience regarding the finer points of loading and unloading heavy, cumbersome material, thereby helping develop my staff professionally. I especially prize his continual focus on safety and preservation of life, limb and material. It continues to be a rare and wonderful pleasure to work with such a professional as Garth.”

Kevin joined Futura 15 years ago. Since that time, he has logged just about 1.4 million miles accident free. Over the many years and hundreds of runs, Kevin was forced to make many wise judgment calls, a few requiring him to abandon his runs due to high winds and road closures. The following day, circumstances were re-assessed and the deliveries were made. Because of his quick decision making, he has maintained zero safety incidences and a clean driving record.
Mike has been with Futura for almost 9 years. He takes great pride in picking up and delivering as much of the local flatbed work as he possibly can. Mike has logged 150,000 local accident free miles. There are very few circumstances that require Futura to contract outside help for local delivery needs. Mike makes it a high priority to adjust his schedule and squeeze in deliveries and pick-ups in order to accommodate our customers, which has helped build a strong relationship with the customers. He continues to operate safely and efficiently, performing daily equipment safety checks and avoiding costly and dangerous situations by proactively discovering potential problems with his tractor and trailers.
Together, reaching over three million accident free miles, Garth, Kevin and Mike's continuous commitment to safety and our customers is commendable on all levels. They are the embodiment of Futura's commitment to its' customers.
