Futura Recognized for Workplace Safety 2013


The Utah Manufacturers Association annually recognizes tremendous efforts by Utah manufacturing companies in regards to creating an exemplary culture of workplace safety.  The manufacturing industry is continually striving to create safe workplace environments for our employees. The association has a long history of recognizing manufacturing companies for their tremendous efforts in improving their workplace safety records and creating a culture of safety within the industry.

Recently, at the Utah Manufacturers Association and Utah Mining Association Annual Safety Conference held April 11, 2013 10 Utah manufacturing companies were recognized and honored for outstanding and exceptional workplace safety and for creating an excellent culture of safety.  Additionally, 13 companies were recognized with Merit awards for their ongoing outstanding efforts in creating safe workplace environments for Utah manufacturing employees.

The manufacturing industry recognizes that our people in the industry are our most valuable asset, and worker safety efforts have never been stronger. Manufacturing companies continue to devote people, time, and other resources to actively identify and correct workplace hazards. The presentation of these awards acknowledges excellent safety performance through effective, innovative and outstanding safety programs.

Todd Bingham, President of the Utah Manufacturers Association said, “The industry has always strived to achieve work site wellness and reduce occupational injuries and illnesses in the manufacturing industry through education, training, advocacy and partnership.
